Pastoral Support and Research Fellow appointed

We are pleased to announce that Kristi Mair has been appointed as a part-time Pastoral Support and Research Fellow from 2018 to 2021. Kristi is a gifted, young academic, apologist and evangelist. She has been Assistant Leader for the UCCF Midlands team for a number of years. She has a BA in Philosophy and Theology and an MA in Philosophy from Birmingham, and has just started a part time PhD there.

As part of her Oak Hill responsibilities, Kristi will be providing pastoral care for female students as well as undertaking some teaching. The rest of her time will be spent studying for her doctorate and continuing to speak at missions across the country.

Tim Rudge, Field Director of UCCF, writes: ‘Kristi has brought a huge amount to UCCF in her eight years with us. She has become an effective apologist and mission speaker and is in demand from CUs to speak at evangelistic events and lead missions. She is humble, gentle, godly, gracious and extremely caring. We will feel her loss, but are delighted to commend her to Oak Hill and the opportunity to serve the college community and pursue her PhD research.’

Kristi writes: ‘I am utterly thrilled to be joining the Oak Hill community. Not only does Oak Hill College provide premier theological training, but there is also a wonderful recognition of the pastoral need to care for students, creating a dynamic environment geared towards their personal flourishing. I am so looking forward to mentoring female students and providing teaching cover. I am so thankful for this exciting opportunity, not to mention the value Oak Hill places on developing skilled practitioners, engaging with society at all levels. This high view of theological training, personal flourishing, and apologetic engagement creates a culture with unique opportunities that I cannot wait to serve, and enjoy!’

Kristi will be here for the start of the 2018/19 academic year. Please do pray for her as she makes this transition.
